Private, in-home lessons let us focus on your dog's individual obedience needs and behavioral issues by allowing me to counsel with you and interact with your dog where the problems exist -- in your dog's normal, everyday environment.

The number of lessons needed to solve behavior problems varies. As each individual dog and family is different, a mutual decision is made about how many lessons will be necessary to combat the problems at hand. I tailor the specific number of lessons to meet the needs of both you and your dog (s).

Jennifer Schneider, owner of Pick of the Litter Dog Training, specializes in terriers. She has owned terriers all of her life. Do you have a terrier that runs your life? Are you not even sure where to begin? I am here to help! Terriers are different from many other breeds of dogs. They are smart and have a mind of their own. If you don't take the time to train them, they will train you! I can help you to understand your terrier, motivate him or her to follow your rules, fix terrier specific behavior problems and more. HOME SCHOOL OBEDIENCE PROGRAM
Package: $300 for four, one-hour lessons
Total price may include training for multiple dogs
For dogs and puppies of any age, no prior training needed

Personalized training program -- teach obedience skills AND combat behavior problems -- all in the comfort of your own home. In four lessons, you will learn how to teach your dog the basic behaviors of sit, lie down, stay, come, loose leash walking, heel, relax on a bed/blanket, leave it, and to pay attention and focus in distracting situations. You will be instructed about how to use these commands in your everyday life (with and without treats) and real life exercises will also be discussed, including sitting politely for greeting, sitting and waiting at doorways, and positive leadership. Plus, we make sure to discuss and find workable solutions for each one of your dog's problem behaviors. Provides the same information as a group class, but in your dog's normal, everyday environment.

DAY TRAINING

Day Training is a specialized program that accepts only one or two applicants at a time. A Certified Professional Dog Trainer will visit your house while you are at work, running errands, taking kids to school, etc.

Do you need help with your dog but are unable to have a trainer come to you? Maybe you have a question about your Terrier and would like advice from someone who has in-depth experience with the breed. Or, do you live outside of the Seattle area, but would still like some advice from a professional with years of experience? Well, if so, I can help! I would be happy to speak with you over the phone to assist you with any problems you may be having with your dog. Most types of behavior problems can be discussed over the phone. With one phone call, we can develop a specific training plan to combat the problems you are having in your household with your dog.

* A deposit is required to secure an appointment with Pick of the Litter Dog Training. This deposit will be applied to the total cost of your private lessons. For example, let's say I come out to your home for private lessons and we decide the three lessons is necessary to combat the problems at hand. The total cost of three private lessons is $225. Since you had already paid the $100 deposit, the remaining amount due at our first appointment would be $125. A refund of the deposit will only be given in extraordinary circumstances, as such an emergency or illness that would prohibit you from completing the lesson.
